In personal injury cases, accuracy is essential. Recently, I evaluated a patient who reminded me how important clear communication between attorneys, medical professionals, and patients can be for achieving the right outcome.
This patient had already seen a surgeon and had an MRI completed before her attorney referred her to my office. When I personally reviewed the MRI, I found an important discrepancy. The radiology report stated that the disc level in question was normal. In reality, the images clearly demonstrated a disc herniation.
The surgeon had correctly recognized that a herniation was present, although he inadvertently labeled it on the wrong side. In motor vehicle collision cases, the exact location of a herniation is a critical detail. Accurate reporting affects both medical decision-making and the attorney’s ability to present a clear, evidence-based narrative on behalf of the patient.
This is a perfect example of why collaboration matters. Because the attorney reached out and because our office maintains open communication with treating physicians, we were able to review the records together, correct the findings, and ensure that every professional involved had accurate information. This gave the attorney confidence in the documentation and helped the patient better understand the source of her symptoms and the treatment options available.
At Eatontown Elite Care Center, this level of teamwork is part of our daily practice. We work closely with attorneys, surgeons, pain management physicians, and primary care providers to make sure that diagnoses are accurate, care is coordinated, and case documentation is clinically and legally sound.
When professionals communicate clearly, patients receive more effective treatment, cases proceed more smoothly, and errors such as a missed or incorrectly labeled herniation can be identified and corrected before they cause unnecessary problems.
If you or your clients need a provider who values accuracy and collaboration, we are here to help.
