Chiropractor and Clinical Director, Eatontown Elite Care Center
Dr. Jordan L. Kovacs is the clinical director of Eatontown Elite Care Center in Eatontown, New Jersey. His practice focuses on conservative evaluation and management of spine and musculoskeletal conditions, including neck and back pain, motor vehicle accident injuries, sports injuries, headaches, radicular complaints, and related conditions.
His clinical approach emphasizes careful history, physical examination, appropriate use and interpretation of diagnostic imaging, individualized treatment, and coordination with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
Why Motor Vehicle Injury Care Became a Focus
Dr. Kovacs developed a particular interest in motor vehicle injury care after seeing firsthand how a loved one’s significant injuries were underestimated, were underestimated, resulting in permanent impairment.
That experience contributed to his decision to pursue advanced postgraduate education in spinal trauma, MRI interpretation, injury biomechanics, concussion, and the clinical correlation of diagnostic findings with a patient’s symptoms and functional limitations.
Today, a substantial part of his practice involves evaluating and treating patients following motor vehicle collisions, with an emphasis on identifying clinically significant injuries, providing appropriate conservative care, and recognizing when additional imaging, testing, referral, or co-management may be necessary.
Advanced Training in Primary Spine Care
Dr. Kovacs earned a Fellowship in Primary Spine Care after completing an extensive two-year postgraduate program involving medical and chiropractic academia through the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Cleveland University-Kansas City, College of Chiropractic.
The fellowship included advanced education in:
- MRI, CT, and radiographic interpretation
- spinal trauma and injury assessment
- electrodiagnostic testing and clinical correlation
- spinal biomechanics
- neurological and vascular conditions affecting the spine
- co-morbidity assessment
- differential diagnosis
- collaborative management of complex spinal disorders
This training supports a broader clinical approach to patients with both straightforward musculoskeletal complaints and more complex spine-related presentations.
MRI Interpretation and Clinical Correlation
Dr. Kovacs has completed advanced postgraduate training in MRI interpretation and the clinical correlation of imaging findings.
In practice, imaging is interpreted in the context of the patient’s history, examination findings, mechanism of injury, neurological findings, and functional limitations. Particular attention is given to conditions such as disc herniation, nerve root compromise, spinal stenosis, degenerative changes, and traumatic spinal injury.
When advanced imaging is clinically indicated, the goal is not simply to identify abnormalities on an MRI, but to determine whether those findings help explain the patient’s symptoms and whether they should alter treatment, additional testing, referral, or co-management.
Motor Vehicle Accident and Trauma Care
A significant portion of Dr. Kovacs’ clinical practice involves evaluating and treating patients injured in motor vehicle collisions.
His postgraduate education includes spinal trauma, injury biomechanics, MRI interpretation, concussion and mild traumatic brain injury, causality assessment, and the documentation of functional loss following injury.
Patients may present with conditions including:
- whiplash-associated disorders
- cervical and lumbar spine pain
- disc injuries
- radicular symptoms
- headaches
- soft-tissue injuries
- concussion-related symptoms
- persistent functional limitations following trauma
Care is individualized according to examination findings, diagnostic testing when indicated, patient progress, and clinical response.
Clinical Philosophy
Dr. Kovacs’ approach to care is based on several principles:
- listen carefully to the patient’s history and concerns
- perform a thorough clinical examination
- use diagnostic testing when clinically indicated
- correlate imaging findings with the patient’s symptoms and examination
- begin with conservative treatment whenever appropriate
- monitor objective and functional progress
- modify care when progress does not occur as expected
- coordinate with medical specialists when additional evaluation or treatment is necessary
The goal is to identify the likely source of a patient’s symptoms, provide appropriate conservative care, and help the patient understand the reasoning behind clinical recommendations.
Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Under One Roof
Eatontown Elite Care Center offers both chiropractic care and one-on-one physical therapy.
Physical therapy services are available independently and do not require a patient to also receive chiropractic treatment. When clinically appropriate, coordinated chiropractic and physical therapy care can provide a broader rehabilitation approach for patients recovering from spine injuries, sports injuries, motor vehicle collisions, surgery, and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Treatment recommendations are based on the individual patient’s presentation and progress rather than a predetermined treatment schedule.

A Second-Generation Chiropractor
Dr. Kovacs is a Monmouth County native and second-generation chiropractor.
His father, Dr. Louis A. Kovacs, practiced chiropractic in the Lacey and Forked River area beginning in 1975. Watching his father’s career and later seeing the consequences of injuries that were not fully identified helped shape Dr. Kovacs’ interest in comprehensive evaluation, diagnostic imaging, and spine injury care.
He attended Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, and later earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University.
